8 Arrested in International Child Porn Ring Bust

Child pornography is a crime that is on the rise. People from all over the world get together and form rings. An international child porn ring has been busted, and eight people are now facing multiple criminal charges.

 Florida authorities busted a ring that had more than 1 million child porn photos and videos in its possession. The images showed sexual abuse of children. The people charged include a main distributor from Turkey and at least seven Florida residents who purchased the materials.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement began investigating in July 2024. Agents were looking for people selling and distributing child porn online. Agents entered a chat room and

found a website that was selling child porn materials. The agents were able to purchase 6.7 terabytes of child porn for just $100. This amounted to about 1.2 million videos and photos.

The photos and videos include children from the United States, including babies, who are victims of crimes such as sexual battery and human trafficking. The children’s names and photos were found in the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children database.

Law enforcement sent subpoenas to multiple companies to gather a paper trail. That was when they stumbled about the main distributor. The main site that the man used was called “printedpics.com.” Officials seized the site and shut it down. Many global agencies were happy the site was shut down, calling it a huge problem.

The ringleader, a Turkish resident, is facing charges of racketeering, money laundering, and multiple counts of sexual performance by a child, selling child pornography, out-of-state transmission of child pornography by electronic device, distribution of obscene material, and use of a two-way communication device.

Authorities are working to extradite the man to Florida so he can face the charges. A New Jersey man and an Oregon woman are accused of being money mules for the operation. Seven people from Florida who purchased the materials are also facing criminal charges. One man was found with children’s underwear in his home. Another man was already a registered sex offender. He was serving 20 years of probation for a previous child porn case.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says there are more suspects, possibly living  in Canada and Ireland. They may be tied to the child porn ring as well. The case is still under investigation.
