Florida Man Arrested for Generating AI Child Porn

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the man’s alleged activities from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The agency claimed that the man was uploading sexually explicit AI-generated content to an adult website, as the files were traced back to his identity.

Detectives obtained a search warrant on the account and found images of children depicted in a sexually explicit manner. The images had been manipulated with AI. Authorities also discovered an authentic video of the man having a sexual encounter with a family member. However, authorities stated that the material was not technically illegal as both subjects were adults and they did not engage in intercourse.

On February 20, the man was interviewed by detectives at his home. He admitted to creating and sharing the images in question by using an unspecified AI program. He was arrested on five counts of generating child pornography. Using AI to create child porn is illegal in Florida, whether the face in the materials depicts a real child or not.

Prior to this arrest, the man had two prior bookings on file at the county jail. In 2023, he was charged with methamphetamine possession and driving under the influence.
