Florida Man Faces 1,000+ Years in Prison for Child Porn Charges

If a Sanford man lived to be 1,000 years old, he could still be behind bars. That is the fate that a 37-year-old man is facing after he was arrested and charged with 100 counts of child pornography possession.
Law enforcement officials say the man was in possession of real and AI-generated child porn images. Not only that, but the man’s home was described as a “house of horrors.” He had a room decorated for a little girl and another room decorated for a little boy. However, the man lives alone. He is not married and has no children.
The attorney general detailed the evidence against the man, who seemed like a normal person to those on the outside. The man was a college graduate with a successful career. He also lives in a home in a gated community, just across the street from an elementary school and a public park.
However, the inside of the man’s home showed a whole different side. The house was decorated with little girls’ underwear and toys. The master bedroom was also decorated for a girl, with pink walls, pink curtains, pink bedding, My Little Pony posters, and a variety of toys, such as dolls, princess wands, plastic feathers, tiaras, and unicorn stuffies.
Investigators ultimately found thousands of files that contained both actual child porn as well as AI child porn. They also found a child-like sex doll in the man’s home. According to the attorney general, the man “was probably just days away or moments away from trying to access real children.” It was suspected that the man was trying to lure children to his house.
The man’s first appearance in court was on March 10. He asked the judge if he could have his phone to call people, including his mother.
The man is currently in police custody and faces 100 criminal charges, including the following:
- 53 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material
- 46 counts of possession of A.I.-generated child pornography
- One count of possession of a child-like sex doll
The man is currently held in the Seminole County Jail on a $350,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to 1,026 years in the Florida Department of Corrections. He faces arraignment in court in Seminole County in April.
The arrest comes on the heels of SB 212, a bill that prohibits sex offenders from living near public swimming pools. The bill has had overwhelming support and could be a law by July 1.
