Florida Man Faces Child Porn Charges After Having Sex With Teens
You may not think much of teens having sex with other teens. It’s a common thing, right? Yes it is, to some degree. However, when the sexual activity is recorded or photographed, and the person is under the age of 18, it becomes child porn, which is illegal. So it becomes a tricky situation when one person is a minor and the other is technically an adult.
This is what happened to a Florida man who was recently arrested for child porn. He had recorded his sexual encounters with two teenage girls he met online. The age difference was less than a few years, but the man was legally an adult at the time.
The Hialeah man was an adult when he met the two girls on Instagram. They were 16 and 17 years old at the time.
In December 2021, the man was 18 years old when he met the 17-year-old victim in person. The two engaged in a consensual sexual relationship. They would meet and have sexual intercourse inside the man’s vehicle.
The man recorded the girl while they were engaged in sexual intercourse. However, he did not have her consent to record the encounter, so he technically produced child pornography. When the man sent the girl an electronic copy of the video, that was when she found out he had recorded her having sex.
The girl asked the man to delete the video, but he refused to do so unless she had sex with him again. He said he would even pay to have sex with her again.
In May 2022, the man, who was now 19 years old, met with another victim online. When asked her age, the girl told the man that she was 16 years old. The man offered the girl $100 if she would have sex with him.
In October 2022, the man sent an unsolicited photo to the girl. He then sent her three more files of child porn, including the sexually explicit videos he took of the first victim. He also asked the girl if she wanted to watch a video of him having sex with the first victim.
When the 16-year-old victim came forward to police, they started an investigation. This led to the 17-year-old identifying herself in the videos the man produced.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant and obtained digital evidence of the sexual activity. However, there was no evidence showing that anyone paid or received money for sex.
On June 14, Hialeah police officers located the man. They interviewed him and that was when he confessed.
