Man Arrested for 20 Counts of Child Porn

A Florida man argues that it is. After being arrested for child porn crimes, he told police that he’s “not sexually attracted to children.”
Deputies received tips about the 60-year-old man allegedly in possession of child porn after uploading child sex abuse material to his cloud. Deputies matched his IP address to his physical address in Ocala and obtained a search warrant. There, they found several electronic devices, including a laptop, tablet, and cell phone. All were seized and assessed by police.
While at the man’s house, the man spoke to deputies about his personal life and history, including a romantic relationship he had with a teen girl back when he was 44 years old. He also confirmed the account that was reported in the tip.
The man originally told deputies he didn’t have any other child porn images. After being interviewed for an hour, though, he admitted to discovering a folder of pictures on his cell phone.
Police asked the man about his laptop. The man admitted to putting files of child sex abuse materials on it, but couldn’t remember when or why, since he claimed to not be sexually attracted to children. Police searched the laptop and found 20 images of prepubescent children engaging in sexual acts. Some were being sexually battered.
In addition, the man admitted to drug use. He told police he had a half ounce of meth in his dresser. Police found more than 12 grams of meth in the dresser. In his closet, there was also a box of THC edibles that weighed more than 400 grams.
The man was arrested and taken to Marion County Jail. He has been charged with 20 counts of enhanced child porn possession as well as possession of meth and marijuana. He is currently being held on a $104,000 bond.
